Recent activities and an invitation to participate in this virtual book group

I’m pleased to say that in the last month, I participated in a number of activities that have helped to get my book and its messages out to more people.  The Howard Zinn Book Fair on Saturday, Nov. 15 in San Francisco was a well-attended gathering of like-minded people.  I sat at a table in a big room that was full of book sellers with very good books.  I did not manage to sell any books, but I had some great conversations.

I also co-led a  Workshop Series on  Working with Fear While Following Your Path with the Metta Center for Nonviolence.  Two Tuesday evenings on a digital platform, Nov. 11 and 18, and then also a one-day retreat on  Sunday, Dec. 7.  This workshop series was designed to help participants deepen their awareness of their heart’s longing and better understand the role and effects that fear has their lives, with an emphasis on getting into a different relationship with fear so that it doesn’t stop them from following that call of the heart.

Finally, I had the honor of doing a  book talk at a Sonoma County Vets for Peace Meeting attended by twenty vets on December 8.

Again, I invite any of you to discuss anything about the book that moves you.  I would love it if this space could be a sort of virtual book group.  Please let me know if you have any questions and also share if anything has inspired you.

TV Interview

I’m so excited.  I was interviewed for a local access TV show and now the interview is
available for viewing at:
http://womensspaces.com/ArchiveWSshow/WSS140801.html

It is about my book with a special emphasis on my experience in Israel/Palestine.

The video goes for 55 min. The program is called Women’s Spaces and
Elaine Holtz is the producer of the program and the interviewer. She has
some other stuff to say herself at the beginning and end so If you want
to get right into the interview part, you can skip the first 6 and half
minutes.

I hope you take the time to watch it and pass it on. I’m not on
Facebook but I would love for you to post it if you are so inclined.
